Dr. James Brousse
Dr. James Brousse was born and raised in New Orleans, and graduated from Louisiana State University in 1982 with a bachelor’s degree in zoology. After college, he taught high school science before completing a master’s degree in biology from the University of Missouri in 1992. His interest in biology and science led him to the University of Georgia, where he obtained his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1996.
Dr. Brousse owned and operated a veterinary clinic in Athens, GA from 1996 to 2012. In 2012, Dr. Brousse, along with his wife and their two cats and dog, moved to the Panhandle of Florida. In 2013, he began working at the Emergency Veterinary Clinic where he enjoyed helping sick pets get well for 12 years.
When he is not working, Dr. Brousse enjoys fishing, tennis and gardening. Over the years, his beloved pets have included birds, turtles, fish, guinea pigs, hedgehogs, cats, and dogs.
